Can we be together?
Hand in hand;
Under the stars
Whispered words of forever
I speak of love
You speak of love
Can we be together?
Hand in hand;
Until we die
Whispering words of forever
My sorrows lie unwritten
My thoughts are full of blood
My heart is black as night
Yet you read me
Like an open book
And you know me
Better then I do
Yet you'll never know
How much I need you
You're as pure as snow
You're so full of love
And you love me
Like an angel
You're so lovely
And so much better than I am
And yet you'll never know
How much I need you
You're my light
When I'm afraid of the dark
You're my rock
When I'm surrounded by sand
And yet you'll never know
The one
You call beautiful
Thinks she's not lovely
At all
The one
Who's hurt
You ease all her pain
The one
You love
Is scared
When she cries
You wipe her tears away
And when she feels alone
You hold her close
In your arms
She feels no fear
And when she's down
In the dark
You make her smile
The one
You call beautiful
Knows she's loved
Can we be together?
Hand in hand;
Under the stars
Whispered words of forever
I speak of love
You speak of love
Can we be together?
Hand in hand;
Until we die
Whispering words of forever
My sorrows lie unwritten

Anorexia
Magazines and television
Model pretty girls
Their bodies perfect and so thin
Their hair all up in curls
I want to feel my skin, my bone
Changing into something beautiful
But sometimes I think looking like them
May take a miracle
I'll push around the corn and beans
All around my plate
Maybe I can convince them all
That I really ate.
I can see my bones now
Showing through my skin
Which has grown so very pale
Which has become so thin.
All I'll drink is water
And eat only cotton balls
To make my stomach think I'm full
Perhaps I'll make it after all
People seem to notice
And ask if I've lost weight
